There are many reasons someone would seek out a therapist/counselor. I hate labels, and many times an individual will not seek help because of the stigma it creates.
There is a scientific law that says, “No two solid objects can occupy the same space at the same time".
Family counseling seems to be something that frightens people or proves “something must be wrong with us.” What does that mean?
This area is a wide open, complicated, field. For as many “professionals” as you ask, “What is right when it comes to _____________,” you could get a different answer.
Most issues in a business are not going to be that complicated; however, when I do an interview with a CEO, I emphasize the understanding of being “Emotionally Intelligent.”
I have known Mike Plew for over 10 years and highly recommend him for any counseling services: family therapy, individual, crisis intervention, and/or educational assessment for ADHD/ Bipolar etc. Clinically he is superb, is honest and has wit to make any counseling situation better. I have worked professionally for over 35 years as a health professional and frankly he is terrific and I wish more therapists had his clinical ability, intelligence and compassion.
